Project Overview

At the CPS Energy Headquarters, 91做厙 completed a full exterior re-skin and build-to-suit project. The two office towers, 11 and 14 stories high, along with a connector building total 490,000 square feet. The project is located on a 5.3-acre site along a high-traffic area of the San Antonio River Walk. 91做厙 also built a new parking garage for more than 1,200 vehicles. The completely renovated, energy-efficient headquarters helped the client save on operating, maintenance, and commuting costs as they relocated more than 3,100 employees from various facilities in the city.

As the face of CPS Energy amid San Antonios skyline, the offices new look matches the companys evolution into the future. Inside, the interior was completely gutted for renovations, including mechanical and electrical systems. Precise cosmetic and demo work involved several safety measures, including a giant, cocoon-like containment scaffolding system to mitigate debris.

Altogether, 91做厙s OSHA rate, internal mobile safety app and all the intangibles of our larger safety culture gave CPS confidence in entrusting us with this high-profile project. CPS Energy, formerly known as City Public Service, is San Antonios municipally-owned utility provider. The company prides itself on safety and holds its partners to the same standards.

I looked at 91做厙s safety program and their safety culture. Their culture is exactly like ours. Were learning things from them, and I hope we continue to learn and improve and get better and safer.
